Attending the Emmy Awards has always
been a childhood dream for me. Growing
up as a teenager, I would watch the Emmy
Awards every year on television at home.
Seeing the ceremony LIVE is one of the
most inspiring events I have experienced
and I will never forget it.
Now to fill you in on all the
action...wow...where do I start:
Red
Carpet Arrivals
Walking
down the red carpet was a breath-taking
experience. There were hundreds upon
hundreds of screaming fans lined up in
the bleachers, waiting for their
favorite stars to show. But they were
nothing compared to the countless
photographers lined up along the long
red carpet entrance, ready to flash
their light-bulbs and snap shots of all
the nominees and A-list stars. Mixed
between these crazed photographers were
reporters from all the major
entertainment networks: FOX, ET, E
Entertainment - all fighting to steal a
quick interview with all the big name
stars. While all this was going on,
floating all over the place were
security personnel...many more than I
could count. Finally the stars and
attendees (including yours
truly)...slowly making their way to the
grand entrance of the Shrine Auditorium.
Whilst
working my way down the red carpet, I
was fortunate enough to meet and rub
shoulders with many actors, actresses
and comedians that I hold great
admiration for. A few of these included:
Conan
O'Brien - "Late Night with
Conan O'Brien"
William
H. Macy - 2003 Emmy Award
Winner: "Door to Door"
Matthew
Perry - "Friends"
Brad
Garrett - "Everybody Loves
Raymond"
Sarah
Wynters - "24"
Cynthia
Nixon - "Sex and the
City"
Marg
Helgenberger - "CSI: Crime
Scene Investigation"
Joe
Pantoliano - 2003 Emmy Award
Winner: "The Sopranos"
Michael
Chiklis - "The Shield"
Martin
Sheen - "The West
Wing"
The
list goes on and on...
